Ask Your Advocate – Why Should I Attend Conferences?

Why should I attend the 2015 National Wine and Grape Policy Conference?

The National Wine and Grape Conference, put on jointly by WineAmerica and the Winegrape Growers of America, is a great way for wineries to come to Washington, DC and meet with Members of Congress and their staff. The best way to make a difference in the laws that affect you is to come to DC and meet with policy makers.

This two-and-half day conference will feature speakers, presentations and insights on the politics and policies affecting our industry. A meeting of the WineAmerica Board of Directors and the State and Regional Association Advisory Council will be included in the agenda. The conference will culminate with the annual “Wines of America” reception. Held in the House of Representatives Office Building, in concert with the Wine Caucus, this tasting demonstrates the importance of the American wine industry by featuring wine from over twenty states. This reception is your opportunity to introduce your wine to your member of Congress.

Why should I attend the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium

The Unified Wine and Grape Symposium is the largest wine and grape conference in the United States. Since its inception in 1995, the conference has continues to grow exponentially. The Symposium, which is jointly put on by the American Society of Viticulture and the California Association of Winegrape Growers, is truly a national conference and it is the only conference and trade show that attracts winemakers and grape growers from across the country. If something is happening in the American wine industry, it is being discussed at Unified. It is also a great opportunity for attendees to meet and socialize with their peers from across the country.

The 2016 Unified Wine and Grape Symposium will be held from January 26-28, 2016 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
