The fourth annual Eastern Winery Exposition (EWE), taking place March 17-19 at The Oncenter in Syracuse, New York, is on the verge of selling out the 2015 show floor with the addition of its 200th exhibiting company: Dynalon Labware.

With more than 290 booth spaces, EWE provides the largest marketplace in the East for those in the winery and vineyard industry to view, evaluate and test the most current products and equipment, and to meet face-to-face with suppliers in one setting.

The three-day Eastern Winery Exposition begins Tuesday, March 17, with two day-long Workshops, one to feature vineyard and winery start-up’s, the other tailored to expanding vineyards and wineries. A welcome wine reception Tuesday evening provides opportunities for networking and socializing. The two-day conference, along with the trade show, kicks off on Wednesday and features sessions focused in four areas: Viticulture, Enology, Cold Climate Grapes and Marketing, Money and Management.

Researchers from nearby Cornell University will present two conference sessions reflecting Cornell’s most recent research findings in Viticulture and Enology and Cornell Senior Extension Associate Tim Martinson, also Project Director of the Northern Grapes Project, will lead a series focused on issues for cold-climate grapes. The Northern Grapes Symposium takes place within the EWE conference Wednesday, March 18.

Members of the sponsoring Keuka Lake, Seneca and Cayuga Lake Wine Trails, Northern New York Grape Growers Association, Wine Council of Ontario, Long Island Sustainable Winegrowers, and Hudson Valley Wine Country as well as the members of 13 other industry associations and organizations, receive a ten percent discount on EWE registration.

Proximity to the wine regions of New York and Ontario is one of many advantages Syracuse provides as the location for the 2015 EWE. Syracuse, the economic hub of Central New York, offers affordability, easy accessibility by air, car and train, great diversity in shops and restaurants, Destiny, a shopping and entertainment megaplex, a world-famous zoo, and Syracuse University. The 2015 show will be the largest wine industry event ever to be held in New York State.
